Black Pride Network Official Anti-Racism Statement

Our mission at the Black Pride Network is to promote an environment free from bigotry and prejudice, where everyone, especially the historically oppressed, is valued and respected for who they are. There is no room for racism in our society, and we will not rest until we actively fight against it and see it eradicated.

We acknowledge that racism is still present in the world, and we will not rest until we confront and destroy these systems. Our anti-racism efforts are more than just words on paper; we want to build a community that welcomes and honors diversity in all its forms, including gender, sexual orientation, ability, race, nationality, and more.

Through our programs, projects, and collaborations, we hope to encourage understanding, start productive dialogues about prejudice, and bring attention to the effects of racism. Because we know that the first step toward making a difference is increasing awareness, we are committed to providing ongoing education, including cultural humility, on the causes and effects of racism in our community and beyond.

We commit to establishing a welcoming environment free from prejudice where all Black Pride Network members can feel comfortable expressing themselves and making valuable contributions. To guarantee that our internal procedures, rules, and frameworks are in line with our anti-racist principles, we will review them.

In our fight for equality and justice, the Black Pride Network will join forces with other groups and individuals who share our values to make a more considerable difference. If we are united, we can end racism once and for all and ensure that everyone has an equitable future.

We will keep this statement alive through our decisions, deeds, and ongoing introspection; it is more than a declaration. As we work toward creating a society that respects and celebrates various human experiences, we ask that our community come along for the ride.
