Richard Brethour-Bell is the Founder, President, and CEO of the Black Pride Network (BPN). Born in Chicago, Ill., and raised in Los Angeles, CA, Richard is passionate about community awareness and education. He earned a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from the University of New Mexico’s School of Public Administration. Richard also earned a special education teaching licensure from Northern New Mexico College. He is also a Leadership Education for Neurological Disabilities and Disorders (LEND) fellow. 

Richard served six-years as President of the Santa Fe Human Rights Alliance and is currently the Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging at InterPride, a global Pride organization, and licensor of WorldPride. He also serves as their Co-Chair of the Human Rights and Diversity Committee and Coordinator of the Racism, Oppression, Awareness Program (ROAP).
